Our Mission

Erin Pride serves as a confirmation and celebration of inclusion for all of our 2SLGBTQIAP+ peoples and their families. The Erin community is growing and changing more rapidly than ever before, and with that growth we work to usher in a more supportive and collaborative social framework that reflects the strength, vibrancy, and diversity of all those within it. Erin Pride strives to help foster connections and forge a strong sense of togetherness, belonging, and safety in and for our community while sharing in our collective joy, health, and wellbeing. We envision a future for everyone - in Erin and beyond -  to be free to live as who they are and love as they choose without discrimination or oppression.

-    Erin Pride values advocacy as paramount to queer liberation.

-    We recognize the intrinsic necessity of intersectionality in our work.

-    We stand in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, and recognize the need to be equitable and collaborative in our push towards freedom from homophobic and transphobic oppressions.

-    We acknowledge that we live and operate on stolen Indigenous land, and must be active and responsible in combatting the racist, homophobic, and transphobic oppression that is and has been inherent to the colonization of these lands and their people.

Our Values

Our
Commitments

Erin Pride commits - first and foremost - to being forever learning and always teachable. We pledge to ongoing availability and accountability to the diverse identities of those in our community. We endeavour towards a model of support that stands against all forms of oppression - including but not limited to homophobia, transphobia, racism, capitalism, and colonialism. We commit to challenge our own internalized biases. We commit to be actively unlearning and combatting the shame and stigma that suppresses our communities. We commit to prioritizing and elevating the voices and experiences of our most vulnerable peoples. We commit to the celebration of diversity and inclusivity.
